《Enjoy Picking》 by Chen Ran, Hu Xinyue, Lan Yingqian (3 11-Year-old girls). This is a wood engraving. It shows a group of
students who enjoy picking loquat on the farm . The picture is plentiful and satiation，it’s a decorative work.
《sunshine in the afternoon》by Liu Siya, Xie Haoyao, Li Fangyu. A wood engraving. It describes
the leisure lifestyle in Chengdu.People like playing Majiang, a Chinese game, enjoying the
sunshine and drinking tea with friends or family in the peaceful countryside yard.
《Hometown 》by Luo Yao, A 13 year old girl.This is a gouache. The painter went to his hometown in winter holiday.
It was just the time to celebrate Chinese Spring Festival. Life in the country side is quite
different from that in the city. It is more traditional. Some elements of the work shows our traditions,
such as stone mill, wooden ladder,old fashioned table and square stools, doors with spring festival scrolls
and Chinese door-God on it, dry corn and dry red peppers on the wall.
《Farmhouse》by 4 students from year 10. This is a stereoscopic artwork. It shows us a warm and a sweet farm house decorated
with red bricks, grey tiles, windmills, dustpan, pack baskets, straw rain capes, Chinese seats, pumpkins,
paper cuttings, lanterns and so on.
《Flying 》 By Li Mei, a 12 old boy in Year 8year . The outline is drawn with pens, then color with gouache.
In spring, all the land is covered with beautiful ripe flowers. It’s also a good time to have a bike riding
in the countryside. The picture shows the youth and the freedom!
《Building Site》 by Wang Yun. This is gouache. It’s one of the” Top Ten” in Chengdu Seventh Art Festival.
The builders have made great contribution to Construction and development of the city .
《Morning Exercise》 by Wu Jing from Year 9. This is gouache. It paints on a black paper board. Morning Exercise is very
popular in China. Children are also joining in. They are full of juice and vitality. What a beautiful morning
with birds, trees and children.
《Dragonfly》 by Ding Yunhan from Year 8. This is gouache. Sunflowers, dragonflies and a schoolgirl shows us happy
childhood which We have dreamt of flying in Spring like a dragonfly.
《impression of Old Town》By He Wuxi from year 7. This is a dry-up gouache. The Old Town is located in Shuangliu, Chengdu. Modern cities spread more and more widely. Such old towns become more and more scarce and precious. The painting shows us what our traditions and classic is like.
《Friends》by Pan Xilin from Year 7. Leaves turn in Autumn. Three girls dreaming of their future sitting under a beautiful tree.
《Flying the Kites》by Liu Miao from year 9. Spring in children’s eyes are kites, beautiful ripe flowers and friends. Flying kites is the most popular activity for children, so it’s part of everyone’s childhood in China.
